Angel that had been sent to look after a town of humans. Took on a human form to blend in. Befriended a young man named Adrien who helped me understand the whole "college" thing. Eventually befriended another girl named Myra who moved into the apartment next to mine. Began to notice deaths in town that had remnants of angelic grace at the scene. Myra started having nightmares of the deaths before they appeared on the news. Adrien, Myra, and I begin to investigate. Them trying to figure out the killer, me trying to figure out why angelic grace was at the crime scene. We head in town during a festival. I get separated from group and run into another angel, Zari. I learn he's been committing the crimes because he wants me back in the heavens, that I'm becoming too human. I also learn Myra is a spy of his. I distract him as best I can and locate Adrien back in Myra's van with her Unable to get the door open I call out in his mind "do you trust me." He nods in response so in his mind again I call out and tell him to close his eyes. the moment he does I use my angelic grace and yank the door hard off the vehicle and grab him from the van. "don't open your eyes, it might hurt if you do" I whisper to him as Myra gets out the vehicle and cracks her knuckles. "so it's true, you fell in love with a human" she stated as I tightened my grip on Adrien a little. "Cori, what's going on?" Adrien asked before opening his eyes. I grimaced as he saw the huge wings behind me and noticed that he was being held in my not-so-strong-looking arms. I set him on his feet and he looked across to Myra whose huge wings had unfurled, eyes becoming glowing white orbs. "So she…" he started. "is a spy for the one killing off people we… people I know here in town" I answered. "then who is" he asked. "Zari… a former comrade of mine who decided I was becoming too human…" Adrien looked between us as Zari appeared in front of Myra Zari snickers when he sees Adrien stand in front of me, "You can't protect him, he's going back whether he likes it or not." Adrien blinks at that and then a smile crosses his lips, "No I think you two are. I doubt the merciless slaughter of humans who got close to a fellow angel that was doing their job is going to go over well with the higher ups. They might even decide to strip you of your wings and your grace." Zari stared him down with a violent rage in his eyes while Myra seemed to be awaiting her orders, "It seems you fell for something much worse than a human, Corvinus." Adrien looked back at me and I saw two black orbs in place of his eyes. He had a faint black glow around his left hand. "I think it's time these fools return home." I just nodded, shock quite apparent in my expression. Zari and Myra both charged at him, both knowing the fate that awaited them in the heavens. I launched ahead, a couple of daggers appearing in my hands, and sliced across their arms. "you've caused enough death down here, return to your home to be judged" Adrien said and snapped his fingers, the two now bleeding angels vanished from sight. "So… you're a fallen?" I asked after a moment or two. "And you an angel. Odd pair, huh?" He said jokingly. "very." I stated as my wings returned to being tattoos on my back and the daggers became tattoos on my wrists. My eyes became faint blue human eyes again. Adrien's eyes returned to a deep chocolate brown and the black glow around his hand faded away. He looked once more like the awkward athlete he was when we met. "So… is it true?" He asked me curiously. I raised a brow at him, "That I'm becoming human? Technically no. Though I do have quite the fondness for them and how they go about things." Adrien shook his head, took my hand in his, and kissed the top of it. "You know that's not what I'm asking." I felt my heart leap in my throat and gulped at that. "That's complicated. We're both guys… you're a fallen even…" "Yet you just fought your siblings to keep them from killing me." Adrien stated, "Even after discovering what I was." I nodded slowly at this. He was right. I had come to love him. To almost crave his presence when he was away. It had been baffling. "If you won't honestly answer me then I guess I'll just have to force it out of you." He said as a wry grin crossed his lips. I gulped as he pushed me up against a wall and kissed me. Soft and tender at first but then it became deep and passionate. I could feel myself going insane as I pulled him closer, pressing against him as I kissed back. I'm not sure how long we were doing that but I was certainly dizzy when he pulled away. "Now that was honesty." He whispered, sounding as out of breath as I did, "I'm staying with you tonight. Just in case those guys come back." I looked up at him and saw the faint flash of anger behind his eyes. I nodded and hugged him, burying my head in his neck, "Nothing more than that kiss is allowed… and I'm glad you're alright." He chuckled at that. "I'm glad you're alright too Cori." I awoke after that.
