It was self-defense

I can't remember what led up to this in the dream. My boyfriend and I were at home, we were meeting with family. A woman appeared ( I think she was around earlier in the dream) and she had a all silver aluminum baseball bat. My boyfriend was sitting and she was behind him. She swung at him and only grazed his shoulder. I saw red and closed the space between the woman and I. I started to punch her in the face, over and over. My boyfriend pulled me off of her, I had killed her. My mom showed up and started talking about how we need to hide the body. I kept pleading it was self-defense and just wanted to tell the truth. I didn't want my boyfriend to take the fall for me because of the weight difference between him and the woman. If he was 3x her bodyweight he would go directly to jail. We were at a convience store to pick up drinks and that's when things he me. I started crying and it seemed like everyone around me was calling me a killer over and over.
