Empty Store

I was painting something on the wall using red, orange, and yellow paint, mixing and applying the paint with my fingers. I was upset about something food related because I was hungry, and I'd been trying to figure out what I wanted to eat. Destiny seemed to be trying to be helpful but I just seemed internally miffed about it. We were talking about this song that she a playing that I apparently knew some things about, and I just happened to look out the window. There was a corner store across the street that sold food, and they were still open despite it being around 12am. Something strong compelled me to go in before they closed, and before I knew it, i was inside the store. I was only going to get something pretty small and go back to the house, but no one was inside the store. No one behind the counter, no one further back. I even went upstairs to which I found a pretty messy bedroom area, but no one was there either. I had the briefest thoughts to just take what I wanted from the store and just come back in the morning to pay for it, but quickly decided that I wasn't gonna do that. My brain wasn't satisfied with the fact that there was absolutely no one in this very open store. I was still upstairs and just kept looking around with my eyes only, thinking maybe I'd catch a glimpse of someone laying down somewhere where I'd missed it. I heard the faintest voice call my name and woke up out of my sleep. My niece was at my feet looking at me in the dark (I'm at my mom's house sleeping on her couch, and my niece was upset that her mom wanted to sleep on the couch instead of in bed, so she stayed down here with us lol). I wasn't sure if she had actually called me because i was asleep when she did, so i said huh. She didn't answer, and i just closed my eyes and turned over. Destiny woke up about a minute later looking for her phone, and I had to clarify with her that her daughter was actually awake because I got nervous hahah.
