Puppy & Facing Darkness

I'm at home with dad and at least 2 other people. Inside the house looks nothing like reality, instead the west side has stairs leading up to a long hallway and second floor that wraps around. Everything is much darker, almost with a dark blue tint. Amidst the conversation, someone mentions a dog to which I remember "my puppy" which coincidentally scampers from down the second floor hallway. Suddenly I'm outside on the cement patio with Mom on a normal, partly cloudy day. Near the top of one of the trees that frames the gate to the pasture, we see a light fixture attached. Seconds after the realization, the sky goes dark and the light fixture comes on a solid red, lighting up the entire yard. An ominous tone (similar to when Zod invades Earth in Man of Steel) echoes through the sky. There's a tense feeling in the air, I can feel mom's fear, and I rise up to face the impending danger. Literally. From my standing position I elevate in the sky, to the level of the red light, which triggers a response from whatever opposing force is out there: from the field in the distance, hundreds of dark shadows in a swarm bolt directly towards me. Suddenly I'm awake, I think. Standing in my room, I recall what just occurred and attempt to levitate again but am disappointed when I'm unable to reproduce that action. Then, actually woken up by my alarm.
