A River Parade

My neighbor friends and I impulsively decided to go trekking. With only our stay-at-home clothes on, we left the house only carrying some face towels, cash, and water in our backpacks. On the next scene, we were already on the river climbing a big rock to sit upon. I just realized then that everybody was wearing flip flops while I had my Sketchers on which were water absorbent. The upsetting thought of walking back home with wet shoes suddenly came to mind. A few meters away from the rock, there were wooden stairs leading to a balcony like structure in the middle of the river. When we got up there, suddenly there were wooden walkways on both sides of the balcony and fair-skinned women wearing blue halter tops and colorful, flower patterned, sheer skirts were walking down as if there's a fashion show. We were amazed of their beauty when a big boat passed us with more people wearing the same clothes. Atop the river banks, there were bamboo houses with the same flower patterned, sheer fabric tied on their windows. The wind made them flow along with the colorful banners tied across each house. The next day, we decided to go back to the river again. We were already 50 meters away from home when I realized that I was wearing my Sketchers again. I was too lazy to back to change that time. When we got to the main road, I noticed 2 of our uncles and a cousin were sitting in front of their house. My cousin saw me and got my uncles' attention. They called us to go there and take a sit, it has been a while since we last visited. One of our uncles told the boys to get more tables and chairs and place them in front of the house since half of the road was already closed off. They were having fun while assembling the tables and at that moment we forgot our plan to go to the river.
