The KKK

This dream takes place in the late 1800's. I was wearing a white frilly nightgown that fell to my knees and I was running in the grass barefoot. A bunch of white men were chasing me on white horses. The men wore white hoods and one of them carried a burning cross. The kept yelling things like, "kill the half-breed" and "burn the bitch". I was terrified and my feet were bleeding. It was a misty night. I ran into a forest and they followed with their torches and barking dogs. I found a hollow tree and I crawled into it. I tried to ignore the dampness or the bugs crawling over my exposed skin. I tried to hold my breath. They walked by and one of the dogs stopped and looked directly at me. It kept going though. Once they were gone I snuck out of the hole and kept running.
