At New York For A Film And TV Job

I had flown across the pond to America, to New York with my parents and brother, for a job working in film and television for a big media company. We were sitting on a sofa in this newly built town square area. It was called the Scarborough Plaza, and was an attempt to recreate the UK seaside town in New York. I messaged my American friend to say where we were in excitement. We got up, and set off for this huge skyscraper. We entered the building, but once we were inside, we got lost trying to find our way to the right place. My parents suddenly shrugged and said they guessed I had missed the interview. I protested that I still wanted to see the interviewer and explain what happened, when I spotted a letter in my Dad's hand. I grabbed the letter, and read it. It said that they had invited me to the interview by mistake and had meant to cancel it.
