Thunder storms

I was at home and it started to rain so bad the street lights turned off. My mom didn't pick up my son from his grandparents because she was too tired. Told her she should have told me and got so upset. He's terrified of thunderstorms. It was completely pitch black. Literally. I start to freak out. Then I woke up with my heart racing and heard my son crying.
