—And there you were.

I was at home relaxing doing absolutely nothing as I always do yet the yearning in my heart for you, made it impossible to ignore the sound of your voice as you talked so gently to my mom. You came to say goodbye and apologize for the way you left. More importantly you gave me a conversation; and that is all one needs—closure. Isn’t that crazy? Mine is generated out of the respect, love, and the countless memories we have (good or bad.) Anyways we had a long talk and it was the first time I had been hugged in so long and to an extent, I finally felt seen. As if someone was actually looking at me, smiling at me, laughing with me. And being in your embrace was where I wanted to stay, which I’m glad my sisters little kitty, Marley, attacked my toes at this instant.
