I was sitting in a mostly empty school auditorium with a few other people. We were teenagers or young adults I think. We were sitting towards the back, and suddenly as I watched a grizzly bear walked up and bit a girl's head in the back row. It clamped down and almost pulled her head off, but then let go and left the room. She was still sitting there, alive but injured and shaken with teeth marks in her head and messed up vertebrae from having her head almost pulled off. She laughed and talked with us for a bit after we all calmed down, while a woman checked her injuries. Then, a few minutes later she suddenly broke down and started crying and screaming with this reaction so delayed it seemed as though she must have just been in shock before. This delayed reaction was so shocking and unexpected that it transferred her trauma onto me and I was suddenly acting like a person with PTSD. I was terrified of the bear and nearly fainting at every dark shadow after that, thinking it might be the bear. The teacher wanted us to go to the cafeteria for safety, but I was refusing, convinced it would be in there.
