there was a dude playing an arcade cabinet in some old, dingy, dusty arcade. all the walls were made of wood and there was junk everywhere, like baubles and whatnot. this guy was playing an arcade game, not sure which one but i believe it had some celestial-sounding name. he was telling me found something weird in the game and wasn't sure if it was something the game was supposed to do or if it broke. I looked over at the screen and there was a small tear in it (no opening, it looked like a tear was shown on screen). the person put his hand into the tear and his arm went right through the screen. after a few moments, his eyes widened and he started nodding, then ue withdrew his arm. he told me there was some sort of entity within the game that had requests for us that, if completed, would unlock the secret ending of the game. for some reason the entity wanted tshirts. luckily this dude just happened to be a tshirt collector. so he ran home and got all his tshirts and came back and tossed them on a table, then put his hand back in the screen. one by one he started describing to me which tshirts the entity requested, usually describing the color and the words printed on it. the words were all basically gibberish so i cant remember any of them. after 3 or 4 successful shirts, we came to the final one. as he was describing the shirt the entity wanted to me i felt my heart drop because it wasnt there. the dude started to panic because he didn't want a game over, and he said he knew for sure he had it. he didn't know how he got to this secret ending so he wouldn't be able to recreate it. some weird stuff started happening, i saw a sonic adventure playthrough in a different but sinilar arcade, and then the scene cut to this weird, twisted puppet show with mildly terrifying puppets (it was a musical), and then back to the original arcade. the guy, who a second ago had been ready to throw in the towel on the tshirt, came out of the bathroom with a huge grin carrying the tshirt we didnt have. he found it in the bathroom. he said "I KNEW I HAD IT!" and i was jumping and celebrating as he lumbered over and stuck the shirt into the game. i couldn't hear the voice so i had no idea what it was saying, but after a moment a proud look crossed his face as the machine lit up like a christmas tree to indicate that he won. and then his expression fell dark and grim a moment later as the machine went dark. he pulled his hand out and looked at me and i knew what had happened. he had gotten the prize for beating the game, which was death. at that moment the scene zoomed out and i was looking at a computer screen watching near the end of a youtube video about the man who got the secret ending of this video game. before the video could end i accidentally hit the back button and ended up on the video of the aforementioned sonic adventure playthrough at the old bar. i tried to hit forward to go back to the video but there were two forward buttons and i wasnt sure which went where. i clicked one and i brought me to to the strange puppet show, so i clicked out of that and went forward to the other, which brought me to the browser landing page. i was confused so i hit the back button a few times to retrace my steps. Finally i landed back on the video, but it was slightly different. this video was the aftermath of the video documentary from earlier, and it was talking about his posthumous legacy and how nobody has been able to get to that ending since. i was upset because i wasnt there for his death (as it was between videos) and couldn't do anything about it. the video continued and said there was no footage of the incident but luckily there was an eyewitness on scene to corroborate the story. then the person narrating the video pointed directly at me through the screen and i woke up
