Feeding The Snail

My girlfriend and I are on the sofa playing with our pet rats. They keep falling from the sofa onto the floor and we are having to keep picking them up. Then my girlfriend places a snail on the table in front of us. The snail slowly crawls out of its shell. Its body looks see through and less solid than I expected. I place a small segment of peach onto the head of the naked snail and immediately it is absorbed by the translucent jelly like flesh of the snail. We can all see the peach segment clearly floating in the head. We watch amazed as this seems to be his the snail ingests its food.
