Smoking in the van with the baby

My neighbour was parked in a field in a van I noticed he was smoking and that their baby was also in the van. Next scene, his wife has got the baby in the bassinet at their little house, she’s given the baby small pieces of driftwood to play with. The baby doesn’t look very healthy and I think that the driftwood is inappropriate toy.
