I was going to perform with a band but couldn't fix my eye shadow

This dream is hazy, so I can only remember certain parts. I think I was in a hotel room. I was supposed to be performing in some kind of rock & roll performance, I think with a band. I must've fallen asleep because a girl called me and sounded all panicked and told me to get down to the lobby. I told her to give me a sec. I ran into the bathroom and started working on my eye makeup. I wanted this dramatic look and started using my brush to create this bright, multicolored look. Only, I couldn't get it right. The colors kept blurring and not turning out right, and I kept dusting on more and more. I was too scared to look over at my phone, because I just knew it had to be past 11pm. No matter what I tried I couldn't get the colors yo work right. At first everything kept turning black. So I went to grab some red eyeshadow. I dusted that on and at first it was showing, but when I looked back in the mirror, it was pale yellow/tan. I was trying not to panic because I really wanted to look good but I just couldn't get my eyeshadow to stick. (That's all I remember).
