I was a young man but I wasn't human. Just appeared as such due to my kind's ability. I came from another world and had hidden myself in society. Blending in to try and stop major disasters. My name, Nora. Stopping major disasters wasn't exactly easy though. My kind were dark beings. I was outcasted because I didn't like their ways. They sent another man, Dax, to try and stop me. To kill me. I was determined to live and stop the darkness the others of my kind brought about. -------------------------------------------- "Nora..." I heard someone whisper as I slowly awoke. My consciousness slowly returned to me as well as the reality of the situation. "Riz?" I mumbled, the lights blinding me. "Close the curtains idiot. He'll burn his eyes!" I heard another person snap. The light was gone and I opened my eyes. I blinked a couple of times and looked around at the group. Riz, was holding me up. I must have blacked out after a vision again. He kept his dark eyes trained on me to watch for any expression changes or sign of injury. Amber looked me over after making sure the curtain was totally closed. I'm certain she was the one who snapped over it. My eyes were sensitive to this world's sunlight. "Terra, get in here. We need you to help interpret what was seen." Amber said before the young red-headed teen came in. I slowly sat up but let Riz continue to be my support. He'd become my strength lately. It was both comforting and annoying. "I need no interpreter. Dax is coming. He's gaining ground on this planet and making his way to me. To you as well if he finds I've shared my gifts with you." I explained as Riz helped me to my feet. "So we need to get a move on. Find a new base soon." Amber explained. She'd become our leader. Fierce as the fire she controlled but as passionate as it too. I nodded weakly. "You need to sway your family, Riz. They are a big powerhouse in this country. If you can sway them...less damage will happen." "What do you mean?" Riz stared into my honey eyes and I felt my blood run cold. "I saw them. They were leading people to the slaughter under Dax's control." I looked away as his grip on me loosened. "You're certain?" Riz asked. "I would never lie to any of you." I told him. -------------------------------- "My fire is dying out, Nora." Amber said as I watched fear trickle across her expression. She was trying to burn down the door to the apartment of Riz's parents. Riz was attempting to use his gift over glass to crack the windows while i was trying to make sure neither of them touched the door. Dax's mark was upon it. If they touched it he'd have an easier time trying to control them. --------------------------- The scenery changed again. We had lost Terra. Dax was controlling her. I was crouched on the ground, curled into myself. A battle raging in my heart. "I won't...be...like them." I managed to whisper as pain flared up in my system. Riz and Amber were on either side of me, as if guarding me. Dax stood just a couple yards away. Glowing green eyes now alight with humor. He was almost certain victory was at hand. "If you had just let me kill you from the start, your precious Earth wouldn't be in this state." Dax told me with a smirk. "Lies!" Amber snapped. "You took my family before even knowing Nora's location! You wouldn't have left us alone either way!" Dax glared at her. Riz threw up a thick glass shield that blocked Dax's poisoned knife he'd thrown. "Nora snap out of it!" Riz growled low. I felt something in my snap as the ground shook beneath us. My honey eyes turned as vibrant as embers. I got to my feet as cracks spread from the corners of my eyes across my face. "Has the good child finally succumbed to darkness?" Dax laughed. I shot forward at breath-taking speed and slammed him into the ground. "I'll make sure you leave this planet. Even if it's in pieces." My voice had become low and deadly. I was done holding back my power. "Riz! Build a cage quick!" Amber shouted before glass formed around Dax and I. "That glass cage can't hold me forever." Dax said with a laugh. I choked him and slammed his head down to the ground. "We don't need forever." Amber made fire burst on Dax's skin. He laughed as it continued to burn only him. I let go and walked through the glass, a gift only I had, and stood beside my friends. "Once he's gone, more will come...won't they?" Riz asked as he held the cage in place. "That's possible...but I'll make sure we're ready." I said before Riz hid my face against his chest. He knew that, despite what I'd just done, I hated seeing anyone get hurt. I awoke after that.
