It was a christmas party and these two guys got a couple really really fancy things from some dead guy but they were cursed. One item had a digital vlock attached to it and it turns out that unless everything is done exactly right, the clock would reset rhe entire world to that morning to get it done right. but the guys could push one of the buttons voluntarily to reset the day and keep the knowledge of the day, though both had to be in the vicinity of the clock for it to work. at one point they had gotten past the day and one guy accidentally pushed the button, startinf the entire sequence over again.
