Party with Interesting Drinks

I was held up doing some things around the house and my guests set the dining room table and were opening a bottle of wine. I was glad that they had things handled. They offered me a drink and I said I’d have wine but they encouraged me to try something else. There was a pot of hot chocolate with real chocolate in it so I asked for that. They said sure but they then offered me something else. My friend, Val, poured me a concoction of different types of milk that ran through a network of small, twisty straws like blood vessels, in a transparent cup shaped like a teddy bear. It was a really neat looking drink but I told myself I could only sample it because I’m lactose intolerant.
