Van Driver

My dad is using a jankey white van, and I'm a little uncomfortable with it, so he makes me drive to make sure I'm not afraid to drive a van. I do, and we need to drive on base but when we get to the gate we switch seats, just in case they stop us because it's his van. "Where are you going?" The guard asks. "The exchange," I answer. "You mean the old Exchange?" he asks, as I remember it's now a comissary and the exchange is in the base annex. "And the gas station," I add. They take a real long time letting us in, making me re-register or something. When we finally get in, my dad drives recklessly fast to make up time. around the stores. He misses a turn, jumps a curb, and we're outside the base again, avoiding oncoming lanes of traffic.
