In a room with three other people apparently in a talk show where one of them is the host and other a western historian, we were first told what happened in the war theatre in the runnup to the dropping of the first atomic bomb on Japan. Afterwards I found myself defending the American nuking while the historian took the opposite view. I said that the action saved humanity while the alternative would have saved the deceased which is so few in number comparison. I found myself v passionate
