Ancient animal

Somehow I came across an ancient animal egg (mammal) I want to say it was a cat, but could have been a dog. Apparently I (in vitro) fertilized the egg and implanted it somewhere and a viable offspring arose. Despite everything mentioned above I feel like I just found the damn thing, but this was the story I was selling to everyone else in the dream. Half starved and abandoned looking little creature had a distinctive feature, it had micro neon multicolored running lights in its eyes, very distinctive. I can remember trying to care for it and explaining to others (my family) that it needed watching, as it was ancient (maybe alien) and I wasn’t sure what it could or would do. I tried to make it comfortable and keep it safe, I remember making sure it couldn’t get out of its room and putting down a white and gray checkerboard cloth so it didn’t have to sleep on hard table. The creature was very dark gray colored, almost black, somewhat timid, but able to be comforted. In a separate dream: I was alerted that a friend in my home had been poisoned and died. Apparently the poison was meant for me. At some later point I was in a neighbors house (person who wanted to poison me) and decided to have some milk (where the poison was hidden). I noticed the milk could be the source of poison and I skimmed the top of the milk off and continued to drink a little. Immediately I felt the effect of the poison and had trouble getting back to my place where a man and a woman whom I knew (not sure) where there and told them promptly that “I have been poisoned”. I recovered as I apparently didn’t have enough to die and although concerned about future health effects I seemed to be recovering.
