AHHAHA EW MY TITLE. It was a pep rally day at school or something, from what I remember. This meant that there was no PE or history for the day, and I was super excited. A chance to skip PE is NOT a chance I would pass up. I don’t know how the setting of this dream shifted from a school full of people I know to my room inside of a series of other rooms full of people I know, but it did. I set my phone down in my room, and I noticed that there was a disgusting and huge looking snake in my room staring back at me. It was sat upon a lump of comforters. My friend Tavia, who happens to be a snake expert and enthusiast, was with me (conveniently). I decided to ask her what kind of snake the one in my room was, and she replied with, “That is a yellow back spotted snake. They are poisonous and they are 70x faster than humans.” This officially scared me to death. How was I supposed to get out of my room without getting attacked by this thing? Tavia exited my room, assuring me that I would be fine and there was nothing to worry about. I’m sorry, but a poisonous snake in my room staring at me does not sound fine. It took a second before I set my phone down and noticed the snake focusing in on me. I was really weirded out, so I tried slowly backing away. I kind of froze up, because the second I tried to back away it inched closer and closer to my face just by stretching its neck. I was, at this point, PETRIFIED. I formulated a game plan: I would dash away from it and sprint out of my room. The first try was successful and I couldn’t have been happier. I went to grab a drink or something when I noticed that I had FORGOTTEN MY PHONE in my room. Mind you, my room withheld a vicious snake who did not seem to be on the best terms with me. One of my friends approached me and we spoke for a bit, before I determined that I needed to go fetch my phone. I mean, imagine my text notifications just buzzing while the snake grows even more tempted to lunge at and crack my brand new iPhone XR. That sounds like a TRAGEDY to me. I slowly made my way upstairs, in attempt to preserve my time without putting my life in danger. I hiked up to my room and opened the door. No one was in it except for the snake and I, one on one. I got into game mode, charging around the corner of my bed and towards my phone to retrieve it. My hand met the surface of a familiar red electronic. “Yes!” I triumphantly declared, preparing myself to run back out of my room. The issue is, that when I tried taking my Plan B into action, I felt something lunge at me. I froze up while trying to keep running. It was kind of stupid, if you ask me. Like, I would DEFINITELY die first in a horror movie. Anyway, it doesn’t take a genius to guess that I felt the sharp fangs of something collide with my extended arm. I felt a liquid and acidic substance shoot through my skin and into my veins, circulating around my shocked body. “Ha, must be the poison,” I thought. I removed my hand from the snake’s jaw after it was done with its painful attack. My arm was numb and I couldn’t feel a thing. It kind of resembled a mosquito bite in the way that there was puss gushing out of an infected-looking, medium sized hole in my arm. I did the only thing I knew to do when the attack was over. “Tavia!” I yelled, trying to seek help. “TAVIA!” I would shout over and over, to no reply. I sighed and made my way to a different room. I figured she’d be in there, because it was where a bunch of people were gathered. She was probably socializing with one of the few people that she didn’t hate. I slowly creaked open the door, shouting her name once again. She ran over to me with a look of concern in her eyes. “I GOT BIT BY THAT SNAKE!!” I exclaimed, showing her the mark it left. My friend Chloe made her way over to observe it, too. “Don’t touch it,” I snapped at her. She touched it because she claimed she had to in order to make sure it wasn’t infected. That was pretty much the entire dream. My arm remained its life in pain and numbness.
