In the waking world, I was having a tough time with school, teen angst, and life in general. Just the previous day, I had a bad fight with my mom that left me feeling terrible and guilty. In the dream, I was sitting in a simple, wood carved gondola. My family was with me. We drifted through an endless lake of clean, reflective water. The sky was a striking blue, peppered with clouds. Alongside our path, a wall of large, gnarled cherry trees swayed in the light breeze. No one spoke, no one moved. All was silent as we admired the view before us. We stayed this way for some time. I woke with a gentle feeling in my chest.
