prisoner helped by double agent

I was taken prisoner in some sort of futuristic world. I was captured by someone I know irl but I forget who. everyone sort of just floated around. we were in a big room of artifacts from my captors childhood. I was free to look around and use any “interactive” displays but I could not leave. I stole a book from a collection that kind of resembled the berenstein bears or something. I hid it in my pants. there was something significant about this book for my bf and I wanted to give it to him if I escaped. they let me test out this gun for targets. I had to float in place to use it and my shoes felt really heavy like they were weighing me down so I took them off. one of the guards working there stole one of my shoes and another guard stole the other. I ran after one of them and stopped and handed me the shoe calming and whispered “I’m just playing along, you know I’ve been nothing but helpful this whole time” and gave me a look saying I could trust him. I don’t remember the following events very clearly. but it ended with a paintball war. instead of paintball guns though, you had to just throw the paintballs at people and hope they popped. I tried to float up really high to then attack everyone from above, but I was floating up very slowly (and unimpressively) to the point where the ppl below could keep up. flapping my arms hardly helped. then the dream switched
