Eccentric Parade

There was this massive parade float going through a small town centre. It was decorated with all these flowers of various colours and sizes. There were performers both walking in front of and stood on the float. On a platform at the top there was this eccentric man in his thirties dressed in clothes reminiscent of Willy Wonka. He was singing this song that was related to a story the performers were trying to tell, although what the story was supposed to be wasn't very clear. As he was singing, he started chucking bananas into the audience, who were stood at the sides watching the float pass by.
