Nicole Snaps on Candi

Everyone is at the Somero’s when Jess and Candi come back from their trip to New Hampshire to visit Jess’ dad. Nicole tells Candi how easy Olivia was while they were gone. She follows up with a slight attitude and says “Believe it or not, it’s not that hard to take care of a two-year-old when you just give her what she needs… She needs ice? You give her ice. She’s hungry? You feed her. She’s tired? You put her to bed.” I feel a little uncomfortable watching this go down, but I’m also relieved that it’s finally happening. Candi tries to defend herself, but Nicole’s quick with her comebacks. She refers to the lack of care that Candi has given to the rest of her kids. The condition of the house gets brought up next, and Candi begins to tell her that she cleaned it not that long ago. She tries to get Jaycie or Paley to remember when that was, but before they can respond, Nicole says “What? 7 miles ago?” I somehow understand that she’s implying that Candi hasn’t cleaned since they lived in Lake Charleston. Candi ignores this comment and asks again for someone to help her remember when she cleaned. Again, Nicole responds “10 months ago..?” Candi attempts to insult Nicole by asking “Are you quick-minded?” (clearly meaning to have said something else that was actually insulting) and Nicole says “Actually? Yes.” Jess tries to chime in about Nicole going to school, but whatever he says is completely irrelevant. In response to his comment, Nicole says “Okay, Pockets…” under her breath. I somehow know that she’s making fun of his cargo shorts and I try my hardest not to burst out laughing.
