My first encounter with SP happened when I was a sophomore in high school. I had a couch in my room and decided to sleep on it instead of my bed. I had my stereo on which cascaded a faint blue light around the room. I woke up in the middle of the night(or at least I thought I was awake) and realized I couldn’t move. I was flat on my back on the couch and could see the ceiling above me and my bed out of my left peripheral. I tried to get up but I was paralyzed. Out of no where I felt pressure on my chest, like someone was sitting on me. It was getting hard to breathe. Then, I felt it around my throat, like invisible hands were trying to choke me. I tried to fight.... and then I woke up. And it happened again. Paralyzed. Pressure. Choking. Wake up. Then all of it again, except this time I was able to roll off the couch. I couldn’t move my legs, my whole body felt heavy, but I dragged myself to my parents bedroom and woke up on their floor the next morning.
