Investigating Plans

My sister wasn’t feeling good, so me my mom and sister were getting ready to go to the doctors. While we were all in the car my, my mom said “never mind” got out the car, and went back inside the house. I texted my friend and asked if he wanted to hang out, but he said he had a baby shower to go to and that the earliest he could hang out with me was 8 at night. I called my boyfriend while he was at work and he said he wasn’t able to talk. I looked outside my window and saw a tiny asian girl pull up in a police car and start taking crime scene pictures of my neighbors house.
