me and my friend dating

I saw my friend AJ during lunch at the lunch room he was standing alone so I came up to him and he saw me and said, "Hey I wanna be honest with you. I kinda liked you this whole time." And I said "I sorta liked you too" and he smiled then I smiled back. Then he asked if I wanted to go out with him I said yes. So then I said "Bye I gotta go see my friends I'll see ya" then he said "Bye" and hugged and kissed me on the forehead. So basically what I'm asking is do you think I like him for real? Or does he like Me? And why did I dream of this?
