I was in a van with my stepbrother Sam and my ex-mom and his dad. New Years was soon, and we were all spending New Years somewhere far in Ontario. We wanted to go to the back of the van where there’s no seats and hang there, so we did. We took turns making out, and just lying down hoping our parents wouldn’t see. They walked in when we were lying down thank goodness. Once we got there I realized it was supposed to be my 4th year of Ryan being my New Years kiss. I wondered if he’d be down to travel here or if me and him would just do it over Skype. I was scared the connection would be so bad that we wouldn’t be able to do it. Rafiel used to be my friend back in preschool and we went to middle school together for a bit. He was in the cottage with me replacing Sam. I wondered if after I kissed Ryan on my phone if he’d want to be my New Years kids, in my dream I considered him a family friend with a lot of history so it felt satisfying, but I didn’t end up asking him. I went to the kitchen to get food, and I don’t remember why but when I got the food (I think it was kasha in a bowl) it ended up being a big deal to everyone. My family friend, stepdad, and ex-mom. I was also going furniture shopping and whoever I was with was saying to get a single bed since I’m a single person but I wanted a double bed. The beds were all over 1000 dollars and I couldn’t afford them.
