Weird event: Don’t drop it

I was in a big field with family and friends. People were separated into smaller groups bc there was some type of performance/exercise going on. I was under a tent and had a big white erase board for some reason. My sister in law and her son were across the field sitting in chairs. Someone gave Gavin (nephew) a white board and he dropped it on the ground instead of holding it. I could hear people tell him not to drop it. Then a couple of our friends (who moved away) were waking toward my tent. The husband slid his white board into my tent before walking to someone else’s tent. Our other friend Maria said something about my snacks and she went to get them. Then I saw someone hand Gavin a big mirror which he immediately dropped on top of the white board. As he did, people told him “don’t drop it! It’ll break!!” He bent over to check it and it was broken. He started crying because everybody was mad it him for breaking it since it was what was needed for some experiment.
