I got robbed

So I was with my sister in law, we got to this little drugstore with intention to sell this black and white assault rifle I had (I guess thats a thing you can do in my dream world), but I remembered I left it in the car with in my handbag. So I go over where we parked our car and I see 2 guys searching trough it, one of them already had my bag in his hands. They were stealing in broad daylight. They don't notice me so I sneak trough the backseats to try and suprise the guy on the oter side of the car and snatch the bag from him. Just as im about to grab it he notices me and runs away with it. I go to chase after him, but theres still the guy left with the car and I find myself confused not knowing should I go after him or stay so the first dude doesn't steal our car. I just shouted for my sister in law to get out of the store hoping she would notice what happened before storming after the guy with my bag. He was still realatively close, and while I almost caught up with him a couple of times he ended up succsesfully escaping.
