Road Trip with My Ex

I was in my ex’s car, going on a road trip with him. It was already a disaster and I was so embarrassed and felt bad. Firstly because my GPS wasn’t loading for a while at the start and I was telling him which way to go based on just guessing. And I turned out to be wrong. I not only increased our drive time by like an hour, I also led us into traffic due to road work. Secondly, my ex told me the name of a hotel to book a room with. I looked them up. It was definitely the one he said because he said something which was a direct quote from the website. Pretty much as soon as I paid for the room and went back to the website I noticed it was in FRANCE. We were going to Kansas! I tried to cancel but knew that even if I got a refund, it would probably take a few days to get back into my bank account, so I wouldn’t be able to pay for any other hotel. I couldn’t afford it. I was so ashamed of my mistakes but my ex seemed calm and not mad at me. He was acting surprisingly normal and pleasant. We came up with the idea to just spend a night somewhere cheap and local that we could afford with our leftover money. We ended up at a nearby place that was a bar that had an inn above it. It doesn’t exist in real life but in the dream I remembered coming to the bar a few times before and never staying at the inn, but always wanting to. So we came in and went to the bar. The bartender was like a 22-23 year old girl that seemed either like she had just started this job or just had crazy anxiety and awkwardness. She gave us some drinks and I took a shot of vodka. I remember the drink I got was so nice that it masked the horribleness of the vodka shot. I didn’t even cringe after the shot. For some reason it was after we got the drinks that she asked for our IDs. We both showed her our IDs. There was a commotion outside and we all went to see what was happening. It was just a guy doing bike tricks. Everyone was taking videos of him. I didn’t think it was interesting at all. My ex did. I went back to the bar while he stayed to watch.
