pirate themed dream???

I'm going to assume this dream took place in the 1600s. I was living in this large house(which was gorgeous by the way, picture it in a tropical climate) with 5 other children, who im assuming are either siblings or we are all orphans living in an orphanage. We decided to go horseback riding, and instead of going around town we decided to go to a secluded field near the ocean to see these abandoned buildings. From what i remember, there were about three buildings, one of them being a chapel. Four of the other children decided to climb up one of the abandoned buildings all the way up to a balcony. they waved hi to me and the other child and before we knew it, the building started to collapse. The children were alright though; after they got back up we all walked over to the next abandoned building. We realized that this building had multiple windows, and each window was covered with a portrait. We thought these were portraits of high ranked soldiers and military leaders. But upon further inspection, we realized that they were actually portraits of pirates. i noticed that one of the pirates on there was a woman, and she looked a lot like Esmeralda from The Hunchback of Notre Dame. For some reason i decided to go check out the church, so i got on my horse and rode down some stairs to get to where the church was. the building seemed pretty boarded up, and when i looked down i realized there was a tunnel. I didn't go down the tunnel, but i saw some people walking through the tunnel. They were all dressed in those religious gowns and it seemed like they were ok their way to have mass. Confused, me and one of the children decided to get inside. we slowly opened the front doors of the church and realized it was completely broken down and seemed uninhabited for who knows how long. there were cobwebs everywhere, and that was when i realized i saw some people coming in through a different entrance. they all started singing some song and a minority looked like children or teenagers; a few looked like full grown adults, but they were all males. one of the full grown men turned around and grabbed my arm, saying "come join us" and pulled me in. i pulled back, and soon the other children came and helped me. we were outnumbered, though, and multiple boys came and grabbed me saying the same thing, "come join us!" By then, i was completely inside the church, and the atmosphere changed. instead of singing, they were all laughing or cheering. i got taken down some tunnel and thrown in some area where there were other children. Most of them were boys, which had me confused, because now i'm wondering, had they mistaken me for a boy? one of the adult pirates later threw us all buckets and rags, and told us to clean the floor. once we had done so, the same pirate returned and said we had to sleep where we were because we were newcomers. It then fast forwarded to being in the middle of the night. i heard some belles jingling, and when i looked up it was that same woman i had seen in the portrait. She had on a white blouse that was off the shoulder, a long purple skirt that reached her ankles, wore no shoes, had an anklet, and had a scarf wrapped around her head. She looked down at me, and casually placed her skirt over me. i was now holding on to one of her legs while she was casually passing through the tunnels. Another pirate came and stopped Esmeralda(i think that's her official name, she never told me her name throughout the entire dream but didn't say anything against me calling her Esmeralda). The pirate said "Fancy seeing you here. You never coke and visit us!" Esmeralda scrunched her nose and said "With good reason too. You smell." i was scared, thinking the pirate saw her trying to sneak me out, but eventually he left and Esmeralda continued walking. She then stopped in her tracks when another pirate said "Where d you think you're going with the boy." She then made me get out from under her skirt and grabbed my hand while we ran away from the pirates chasing us. Luckily we managed to steal one of their ships, and Esmeralda started asking me questions like who i was and how could they have mistaken me for a boy. it somehow then turned into me working for her until it was safe for me to return home. It then jumps to the crew, Esmeralda, and me going to an island to look for treasure. We find it, and as the crew is packing up all the treasure onto the ship, we hear cannons. me and Esmeralda looked at each other, and while she demanded orders to prepare the cannons, i was steering the ship. The same old pirate that kidnapped me was now telling Esmeralda that he will take me back. Esmeralda told him, "You idiot! This is a girl! you only take in men!" this seemed to anger the pirate more as now he REALLY wanted to take me back. we began racing through the water, our ship being fast but theirs being incredibly close. We eventually got away, but we still knew that they were following us. I woke up after that.
