Shaggy dog

I just had a dream about this big shaggy dog whose back legs were messed up so he could barely walk. I was at work at the front desk and the front is this big open area with the wall facing the street being mostly windows. I could see him trying to cross the street from the window and my heart was just breaking so I’m just like “no no fuck this”. I went outside helped him across the street, and for a second I just sat down on the sidewalk with him in the pouring rain... he looked up at me with the biggest eyes and he looked so pathetic but I could see the thankfulness in his eyes. Seriously almost cried in the dream... after that moment, I brought him inside and sat with him up front and was about to call a vet to come pick him up. Customers walked in and kept saying “oh ew why is this dog here he’s so ugly” because man, his fur was all matted and he really was in such a sad state but was so happy that I was there and helping him.
