True horrors of WAR (WW2)

So in this dream I can remember we were alot of soldiers going to ambush this objective. I run out with a squad and shoots down two vechicles one of them rams down with fire from the blast into the enemy HQ the building collapses with the people screaming in pain we were under heavy fire so we we’re forced too rally with the battalion? As we had reconnected with our group we had to start advancing too the enemy so now we had approached the hq and set up defensives. I could see the enemy (Germans) approaching with alot of force, I was stressed so i went on top of the destroyed building and hid. As the krauts approached I started spraying them down with my Thompson, slaughtering them like animals. Soldiers of both sides screaming In pain as some reach for they’re handgun too end their suffering. Some burning, crying, lost of limbs extreme pain. Then the dream switched which I can’t remember
