Devon

I'm on my way to my monthly meet up with my friends. When I get there my good friend Jeremy announces that there is a new member to the group. I look around and I'm shocked to see my first ex girlfriend Devon is sanding there looking shy and extremely nervous. We lock eyes and she seems to know that I would be there. Without saying anything Devon walks up to me and says "I need to speak to you, it's argent!" My mind starts racing. What could it be about? Is she in any trouble? How did she know about the group? Before I could ask any questions she asks Jeremy to get the groups attention. My heart is pounding out of my chest and before I could say or do anything she takes a big breath and says "I'm in love with you." My heart skips a beat. She continues to say "I've always loved you, I loved you the moment I laid eyes on you." I want to say something but I can't find the words. The best I can manage is "But why ... how... what .." Devon stopped me from getting my self together and said "please let me finish " I stop talking not knowing what to think or how to feel. She carries on by saying "I know I should've told you sooner but I was scared of what people might think, and I didn't want to ruin our friendship. But I'm saying something now, and all I ask is that you give me a chance." I just stood there unable to speak or move in disbelief that this was actually happing. What seemed like for ever, Devon brakes the silence by saying "close your eyes." Still unable to move I do as she says. In a soft voice she asks "do you trust me?" I just about manage to reply with a quiet but clear "yes" With that I could feel her getting closer and closer to my face, until our bodies were almost touching. Her breath felt warm and gentle, her perfume smelling sweet and sincere, she placed one of her hands on my face and brought it closer to hers until it ended with a soft yet tender kiss.
