Fedora misunderstanding

I was at a hat shop in Las Vegas looking at all the unique leather and wool felt hats from fedoras to trilbys. I was wearing my Indiana Jones fedora that day (my favorite hat.) As I was leaving the store however, one of the clerics came up to me and said, “Excuse me, but you’re going to have to return that hat.” “Oh no,” I replied showing her the hat, “I wore this when I came in. I bought this fedora at Disney World.” I then showed her the Indiana Jones plaque on the side of the ribbon. But the clerk still wasn’t convinced. “Give me the hat sir or pay for it at the register.” She said sternly. But when I refused, she went back into the store to call for security! So I went back into the store to try to explain to the officer what was going on when suddenly, a strong wind blew my hat away! I went and searched for the fedora when I saw the cleric putting the hat up for sale! So I headed towards the hat rack to reclaim my fedora when all of a sudden I was caught up in a wave of people and before I knew it, the hat was gone! I then headed towards the cleric and complained to her about taking my hat. “Oh, it turns out we sold it.” She said in a mocking tone, “My apologies.” I was outraged by this. That’s my favorite hat lady! Then she handed me the Indiana Jones plaque and told me that I could pick any hat in the store as a replacement. (I guess the buyer just took the hat and tossed the plaque. 😡) I then picked out a tan leather hat and walked out the store with a grimace. (I then woke up and saw my fedora in the closet. Thank goodness it was just a dream 😅)
