Dream: Fleeing Death

I was a conduit of minds and dreams. My brother, Jase, a power nullifier. Our best friend Mikhael, an energy weaver. The three of us had gone to new territory to explore for our vacation after doing multiple game streams, audiobook recordings, along with other long tedious jobs. We were enjoying ourselves till the harsher side of winter hit us and we wound up trapped in this sort of town. All roads blocked by the ice and snow. Travel cut off between the town and the outside world. Even the radio had a hard time working. By radio I mean the ones used for calling for help. Yes, we resorted to radio because our phones were getting shit for signal. A few years prior to our upscaled fame and fun careers. We’d narrowly escaped a man that we only knew as Shrike. He was what is known as a deathwalker. Someone who, when killed, doesn’t always die. Sometimes he just returns in a new body. He was a murderer of many special people like the three of us. As I said, we’d narrowly escaped him. We knew he’d return eventually but we hoped he wouldn’t. While my brother and our friend took to the jobs of game streaming and audio recordings (audiobooks, voice acting, etc.) I had taken to honing my gifts while being their tech crew. I met a dragonkin man named Miska who is most talented in opening up a person’s chakras and unlocking their abilities. He helped me continue to hone and practice mine. Once he decided I had reached a certain point, he left us. Though he still whispered in my mind once in a while to make sure I was safe and knew he was still alive. But back to the predicament. The three of us (myself, Jase, Mikhael) were trapped in this new town. No one we really knew here. We had made our way to this pretty big building. I want to say that it was likely a church at one point but one of those 2 or 3 level churches. Not one of the walk-in and there’s the pews type ones. There was a basement level, a main level that had the prayer room and the bathrooms, then there was another level above that had seemed to be used for storage. We had driven there. The car, however, had wolves in it. Some still in their wolf forms others in more human appearances with the fangs and claws being noticeable. They’d snuck into Mikhael’s truck and trailer (the kind you can sleep in) in the middle of the night. They were with us now in this building. Along with some people who were energy weavers like Mikhael. Mikhael and Jase had joined the energy weavers down in the lower basement level. I was staying upstairs. I didn’t fully trust the energy weavers but I also didn’t fully trust the wolves. I was torn so I stayed up where I could hear the wolves and sense them. I knew Jase or Mikhael would reach to me in my mind if they needed me below. The leader of the wolfkin was Garish. He was a tall man. I would definitely have to say he was built like a viking. There were scars across his arms and his presence practically commanded respect. Despite his stern commanding air, he was kind. He had no ill will towards myself or my comrades. He and the other wolfkin also had their own abilities. Astra, a teenager amongst the wolfkin, was one of the few wolfkin who enjoyed my company and my curiosities about their kind. She was curious of us as well. My kind, dreamwalkers and telepathy, were in another part of building. Not fully trusting of the wolves but also not fully trusting of me. Miska reaches me in my mind. Tells me to trust the wolves. He is the only one I trust 100% in this situation. Astra's brother, Kiva, speaks to me a few times but I turn him away seeing he wishes for a mate and not to necessarily learn me. I go to leave the building when I feel my own mind being pulled. I see a man I know as Farrin, dead in his vehicle. He had been in the building just moments before... warning us of harsh weather coming soon. In the passenger seat is Shrike. A man I'd thought I'd gotten rid of by now. A man I'd thought to finally be dead after our last encounter. I awaken in the main room to see Astra beside me and Garish keeping the other pack members back so I had space. The moment his eyes met mine he motioned for the others to convene over to the fireplace. He and Astra helped me up and led me over. I was made to sit in front of the group with Astra beside me to keep me up. “Can any of you recieve images from another's mind?” I asked, knowing how ridiculous it sounded. “Can't you just tell us what you saw?” Kiva piped in. “It isn't as easy as that.” I told them. He sighed. Garish looked to a young man who seemed none too keen about being called out. The man nodded and moved to sit in front of me. “Avis. He is a young mind waker. He can help.” Garish explained. Avis, the young man, nodded. I placed my hands palm up in front of him. “Hover yours palm down over mine. I apologize if it hurts any but I need a conduit to be able to show the rest of your pack who we are dealing with.” I told him. Avis stayed quiet and did as instructed. I pushed the cursed imagery from my mind's eye into him. He then blasted it across the minds of his pack. A silence crossed us all. Tension hung in the air. I prayed Jase and Mikhael were doing alright. (Then I awoke.)
