Fireside Chat 🍻

I was at a bar with some friends, including my ~secret boyfriend.~ It was a really cozy environment - comfy chairs, low light, lots of red and brown tones. I don't remember a fireplace, but it felt like there should have been a fireplace. We were all in an introspective spilling our guts kind of mood. We talked about where our lives were going and our anxieties about work and relationships and stuff. Secret boyfriend almost spilled our secret, but I didn't want to so he stopped. My cousin who I'm not super close with went on a long monologue about life and love and dreams. He sounded pretty drunk tbh. One of my art professors (not a real one) found this beetle hieroglyph symbol that she was really excited about. She came to the bar to show me and a couple friends who were also in her class. She wanted us to trace it on this light wall by the bar. I was thinking "that's cool and all, but can we do this later? Also, we could just copy it down instead of tracing it. It looks pretty simple. Or you could email it to us." But she was really excited about it, and it wasn't a huge bother, so we just did it. I sat at the bar and watched Julie's drink while she traced the beetle on the light wall. This guy who straight up looked like a chimney sweep from Mary Poppins was very concerned that she had left her drink. I told him I was watching it and everything was fine, but he was still nervous.
