Me and my sister were in the backseat of a car stuck in traffic headed to my father’s. I look over to my sister and she asks “why are you looking at me like that?” She looks afraid and I ask her if she’s ok. “I saw a dead body.” She says sounding horrified. I look out my window in the still traffic and I see nothing. I ask her, where she saw it. “On the windshield.” She responds in the same tone. I look out the windshield myself and see nothing. But up the road there is an accident but I don’t see anybody hurt. But still I move to my sister and I hold her head to my chest and she starts crying. I comfort her till we pass the accident I had seen before. I see no bodies but the people in the accident wander slowly around their cars. One of them sitting with their hands to their face as if something horrible happened. We cut to the arrival of my fathers and we greet him. He tells us he missed us and that we both look great. He says the front door is unlocked and we can head inside and he walks off towards my grandmothers. We walk inside and I stop in the door way and ask my sister, “Renee, you said that you had scene a body on the way here but I passed the accident and hadn’t seen anything. Where did you see the body?” She looks at me and smiles. She shrugs and starts to walk away from me but I stop her and ask her again. “Where was the body?!” She starts to laugh, I’m not sure if at the situation, at what I asked, or if she was laughing at me. But as she laughs she grabs my wrists. I felt afraid, as if i were in danger. I try to scream but I can’t. She laughs harder as I try over and over to scream. Her grip on my wrist gets tighter and I fall back. Suddenly, I’m awake, but not fully. I’ve awoken in a sleep paralysis type state and out of the corner of my eye in her usual spot, at the foot of my bed is that silhouette of that woman that I typically see during my sleep paralysis and I swear she’s laughing quietly at me. Now this part is difficult because I must have gone back to dreaming because I mustered up the strength to lift myself to my knees. I fall over forwards onto my bed and crawl towards her. In anger I manage to grab her wrist and fight the question out, “Who..are…you” as best as I can. She moves back a little bit I pull her closer to me and I ask again struggling to get the words out clearly. “Who… are.. You?!” As I stare at her face I notice that I can begin to see features as the silhouette fades. Blonde hair, Caucasian, and her expression. She looked genuinely afraid of me, as if I was going to hurt her. And what I thought was the sounds of her trying to hold in laughter was her, sniffing, and whimpering. I woke up after that.
