An encounter with something

This involves a group of me and my friends going into some old building. We were with a guide of some sort, leading us through telling us what is what and where to go. Very early in the exploration we come across a small room with two doors. We intended to go into the one directly ahead, but as I started leaning against the other door, a dark whispy entity started pushing back, I tried to keep it shut as I could see some of its arms or something reaching out. Our guide was calm, trying to open the door, telling me to try and keep the entity in. Suddenly one of our friends was told to try and lock the door as she knew some kind of magic art. She did and we were finally safe.
