The whole school was filled with people I didn’t know in real life, save for a few familiar faces I could spot in the crowd. Everyone had been mandatorily gathered for some sort of school assembly, but it was really just a movie that they wanted everyone to see (together for some reason). There may have been some words at some point, but none important enough to summon every 11th, 12th, and college(?) student. I was sitting up near the top of the bleachers (like where I sit on the school bleachers), except these bleachers were massive with more spaces to sit and weren’t the ugly black and orange like in real life. They were more like the field bleachers, the silver metal type, but they were surprisingly comfortable, or maybe that was just because I was next to Tom. Tom and I were sitting together, him on my right, as they queued up some sort of film to teach good behavior (or something else stupid that my friends and I don’t need since being kind should be common sense). Once they got the projector to work, the massive white canvas(?) was projected onto, and the film thing had begun. They didn’t even turn off the lights in the bright, blue and white accented room, but we could still somehow see the movie ahead of us easily. Tom and I were holding hands; his right holding my right (because of how close I was pressed up against him, he couldn’t use his left hand). I was much more focused on him than the film since he was doing the thing where you gently rub the other’s hand, specifically knuckles, in a soothing manner. I maybe watched some twenty minutes of the movie before I got tired and checked out. I didn’t need it anyways, so I somehow managed to get comfortable enough to lay down somewhat horizontally (despite still being bleachers). Tom did the same so we were lined up. At the same time I slightly rolled over on my right side to get comfortable, and after Tom had put his left arm around me, I looked into the sea of people on the curved bleachers and made eye contact with Justin, who I had not seen in real life for two years. His eyes seemed to glance at Tom’s and my hand briefly before I glared at him for at least a solid five seconds. I could tell he wasn’t going to be asking me questions with a glare like that. For some reason, we had my favorite soft blanket, my winter penguins one, and it was draped on top of the both of us. I thought about creating a blanket wall so no one could see our interlaced hands and might have guessed at our tangled legs, but Justin had already seen so there wasn’t much point. I nestled my face into Tom’s side, inhaled his encapsulating scent, and let my eyes droop. I was tired of the school’s bullshit. I watched myself fall asleep in my dream (since the dream switched to third person as it commonly appears). Tom watched the rest of the film, probably at a point where he was checked out himself. He was probably thinking about D&D or other fun stories and lore as he does when bored by the subject presented in front of him. Eventually, the movie came to a close, and I was suddenly snapped awake by a faculty member telling me I shouldn’t have fallen asleep and was staring at me with some sort of unnecessary malice. Tom helped me sit up as my unusually puffy, sleepy eyes adjusted to light again. It was time for everyone to clear out of the room and go home. I gathered my blanket from our lap, revealing our now untangled legs proceeding to put my blanket back in my backpack that was sitting to the left of my legs. I found some random blue and yellow hammer-like toy thing next to my backpack and grabbed it, despite not knowing what it was and put it in my backpack. Who cares, it’s mine now. I sighed. I didn’t want to leave Tom, but we both had things to do. We both got up and hugged, and then we were off in separate directions; him to the busses and me back into the main part of the school. I found myself wandering the main halls for no reason, for a couple minutes before I decided I’d best head out. Why would I want to stay at school on purpose? I checked my pockets to make sure I had the three necessities: my phone, my keys, and my wallet. My wallet,,, where the fuck was my debit card and driver’s license…? It wasn’t in the front pocket like usual. My dad’s debit card was gone from the other front pocket as well. I could feel the hair on the back of my neck start to stand up. I unzipped my wallet and that my Visa gift card I got last night (irl) along with most of my cash was gone. Even my school ID was gone. Now entering panic mode, I remembered the weird toy thing I had found next to my backpack and automatically suspected it as the perpetrator’s belonging. A scowl formed on my face as I angrily stomped through the school to a random classroom. I growled internally as I walked up to the teacher in the room. A cute and kind looking woman of color looked down at me as I requested a word with her with my frustrated eyes. “Hey there, sorry to bother you. Do you happen to know who this belongs to?” I asked in a miffed manner. The teacher seemed to understand I wasn’t mad at her, which I was thankful for. “As a matter of fact,” the lady responded, “yeah, it belongs to one of my students.” My mood instantly lifted and I wasn’t so Hulk-like in manner. I explained to her what the issue was and she was happy to help, much to my appreciation. The teacher turned around and pointed at some random tall and slender blonde with a fuckboy-like hairstyle. He looked at me with mock-surprise in his eyes. The teacher demanded answers to questions such as where my wallet went. Apparently, the boy had given it to a female friend of his, who suddenly appeared behind him. The girl has dirty blonde hair that was shoulder length and fastened in pigtails. She had a resting bitch face that looked at me with a glare. Her name was the same as mine; she was trying to impersonate me and steal my money. What a dumbass. The teacher thankfully made her give me my stuff back. Luckily it hadn’t been long enough for her to use my stuff yet, so everything was back to normal.
