red and black

there was a girl in some sort of magical game of thrones setting and she was a princess. she wore two gold metal pins and wanted them to be recolored to red and black by her mom and dad respectively. she first went to her mom, who was known for swift thinking and action. her mom melted the brass pin with her magic, added some red dye, and cooled it while reshaping it into a horse to symbolize her swiftness. next the princess went to her dad, the slow but strategic king. she knew she had to obtain the black dye. suddenly she had a flashback to when she was a little girl playing chess with her father, but the chess pieces were all cubes. there were small cubes and big cubes. small cubes could be immediately melted to form the black dye, but large cubes would break down into smaller cuves first. this step symbolized the slowness of her dad, but also his strategic thinking to break down / build things up. unfortunately i woke up before she found her dad to recolor the pin.
