Luke’s performance

I went to a performance, two of my friends created pieces to share, Brian and Luke. I asked myself why I was there. I needed to get home for some reason? There was a lot of traffic, it was snowing, and before I remembered that I went ice skating with Nick on the lake, but it started getting too warm and the ice wasn’t going to hold anymore. I was trying to leave the performance, and Luke comes in. People crowded around him and congratulated him, and I waited in the back. I was just trying to leave. Then he walks by and sees me, does a double take, and I say hi. He tells other people there, don’t think otherwise, I never loved her, with contempt in his voice. He said we were barely even friends at this point. And I said yeah we never even dated. He said he had gotten out of a 4 year relationship, it wouldn’t have worked. I said I agreed, but I was heartbroken. He asked why I canceled on him. I told him that he brings out my intimacy and connection issues. He told me I need therapy. I leave and join the traffic driving in the snow.
