As a flightless bird

I don't know when this dream had started but I was a bird I think a seagull that was in a forest. There was an animal i befriended i think a small monkey or lizard that wanted me to fly. There was also a big monkey that was only wanting to catch and eat me. I would go around trying to fly but whenever I tried flapping i couldn't. The small monkey encouraged me and once said "When birds first fly they usually fall about 70 ft from the nest". I remember taking this advice and jumping from somewhere and I was able to fly for a bit but I didn't wanna leave my friend behind. When i got back to the ground for some reason i wasn't able to fly again. The big monkey started to chase me but lost me. I tried climbing a tree but was just hanging from one of the branches unable to climb up near the top. The monkey saw me as I was climbing and climbed to grab one wing and pull me down. I got scared here and didn't want to go. When he brought me down the small monkey tried to save me but then the monkey started to eat my body. I was still conscious for a bit but then my dream had ended.
