Mario ghosts spotted me on my stealth mission

I am with a group behind a fence. At the other side of the fence there are mario ghosts with masks on their faces. We have to be stealthy and get something. We split up, i go left. The ghosts walk to and fro. When i am at the part where the gate turns another side 90 degrees, they come together and look at my direction. If i move i will be seen. When most go away i move. I see too late that there were still 5 watching. I failed.
