Invitation from Joe

I was in town, I checked my phone and Joe W. invited me to this group chat on Snapchat, although it didn't look like Snapchat. He then said to me "hey, wanna come hang out tonight?" and invited me to this place. I was in town, I had time to kill so I decided to go! I was a bit confused because me and Joe are not close at all, dunno why he invited me to go and he even said my name so he wasn't mistaking me for anyone else. I thought that this is my chance to meet new people, new friends, get more connections. I then saw Leo L. and he asked me where I was going and I said to the party. He started freaking out and saying "what? no you're not" so I showed him the invite from Joe I received and he started to get confused and frustrated. It seems like he didn't want me to come. He told me not to come because I wasn't invited, I'm pretty sure I went anyways lol. that's all I remember of that.
