I was driving my younger brother to a Christmas-themed play. It was this huge event that my family went to every year as a tradition. I was running late, the play started at 9. I was still driving at 9. I drove by a big overhead sign that said CLOSED. I slammed the gas and drove through some gates just as they were closing. We got in, I gave my brother his ticket and told him to get some seats, I knew it would be difficult to find some. I grabbed a plate of food and headed towards the door. The lady who punches holes in the tickets was walking away. I was like Wait!! and caught her. I went in and found my brother sitting to the side of the stage. I’m like ‘we can’t even see, we gotta find better seats in front.’ The audience layout made no sense. There was a giant pyramid. It was so tall I had to squint to see if there were seats on it. I could see a patch of like 12 empty seats near the top, so I headed that way. For some reason we couldn’t get there, there was a ladder or something and it ended a few feet below where the pyramid started so it was unreachable. I remembered that many people leave after the first scene so some new seats would open up (The tradition of going to this play is more like socializing and eating and saying you went; absolutely no one ever actually watched the play.) Now the audience layout was changed. On the sides were cute little rooms or halls with curtains and sofas and recliners. There was no way to see the stage from them. In the middle was a bleachers-type setup and at the back of the top row was a tall wall with bars that people were standing and balancing on to see. I climbed up to the bars because all the other seats were taken. Everytime someone moved or laughed the entire wall shook violently. I’m like Hell no so I got down and sat in a recliner in the side hall. I realized wait a second this play is only on Christmas Eve. How can it be Christmas Eve again??
