Nap time Nightmare

I live alone in a studio apartment. I am sleeping on the couch. I fell asleep with the sunset. I feel as though someone is staring at me. Or like someone’s entered into my space. I open my eyes to see if anyone’s there, but my eyes won’t open. I’m frozen still. I can’t move and a tingling sensation like pin pricks rests on top of my whole body. I feel the presence get nearer and my heart rate escalates. In my mind a formulate a plan to fight even though my body lacks submissiveness. Everything goes quiet. I think that perhaps the assailant didn’t notice me on the couch. I’m thinking so loudly in my head that I almost believe I screamed out loud. “Who’s here?” ... “WHO’S here??” ... “WHO’S HERE?!” ... Silence. With the silence I regain control of my body. I turn my head to peer around the arm of the couch and towards the doorway. Suddenly I look in the opposite direction toward my room and my window. There’s a tall lanky black shadowy figure stand where my feet are. I scream. “HELP! HELP ME! HELP!” The figure grins and jolts towards my ankles grabs my ankles. Locking them in a strong grip with one in each hand. I try to kick and scream. Crying and distraught I crash to the floor. My ankles slip loose from the grip of the figure. I throw the coffee table onto its side and begin to try to make my way to the door. Crying, desperate, and, in my mind, without a chance. Before I take two steps the figure lunges forward and once again I’m in its grasps. I belt wails of “No no no no no no.” “Who is this?!” “WHO IS THIS????” I hear deep echoes of the laughter of a foe. I hit the ground on both knees, energy, expended. Snickering bounces around my head. “Who is this?” ... ... ... I suppose I just couldn’t bare to stick around and watch the rest, because this... is where I wake up.
