Murder family in castle

There was a very wealthy family, they had a very large and old castle that was next to the ocean, it was actually in the water and the waves would crash right up to the ground level, I wondered if it ever got flooded. I knew two people from the family, one was an older woman and the other was a girl in her 20s. I was talking to the older woman and I asked her what she thought of her family, she said she was happy with them because they didn’t kill her. The oldest people in her family would kill off their relatives if they weren’t satisfactory. I asked about the young girl and she said that they didn’t kill her off because they believed that her drawings could attract faeries. She said it in a sort of contemptible way as though she didn’t believe it was true. I had a feeling that the younger girl was favored somehow and the older woman didn’t like it.
